So I'm not very good at this whole blogging thing but for my mom's sake I am making one.
This summer, Jordan, Brandi, and I will be traveling to Romania to live in a little village called Tinca. Tinca is home to the largest Roma (gypsy) community in Romania. We will be working with Forget-Me-Not Ministries who works with at-risk Roma children. These kids come from homes of alcoholism, abuse, and neglect.
I have been to Romania twice before during Week of E trips at Lincoln Christian University. While there God pretty much broke my heart for the Roma people. I am so excited that God has given me an opportunity to go back to Romania once again to work with these people.
Please be praying for the three of us as we get ready to travel. We leave on June 8th from Chicago, will arrive in Brussels, Belgium at 8:30 AM and at 8:30 PM we take another flight (about 3 hours) to Budapest, Hungary. From there we will have a 3-hour bus ride to Tinca. It is going to be a long day, but I know that the three of us are all looking forward to getting there. Please pray for safe travel and that God will use us this summer. I can't wait to see what will happen.
